He stands as inspiration in my life through his recordings and I wish I could have lived during his life to hear him play his horn once or twice (besides recordings). For those who lived during Parker's Time remember his spirit and music that he made for it was the greatest.

message : I'd like to ask about 'Chan Parker Collections'.
I think some of Chan's collections have been issued as commercial basis. Probably 'Open Door 53' or a part of 'Complete Rockland Palace' is from Chan's collections.
According to discographies, Chan has a lot of collections which are not issued yet. Among them, I'd like to listen to a
session which includes Sonny Stitt together with Parker. I want to listen to it while in my life.
I have read Chan's book 'My Life in E-Flat', but no detail descriptions about her collections in it.
If someone knows about Chan's collections, please let me know. Are they planned to be issued commercially?
I'd like to know any information about Chan's collections.

I'm a truly ornithologist........I possess all Bird's material including the Savoy's the Dial's the Benedetti collection, the Verve's.........almost 90 cd's!!
I'm a jazz player too..........I'm a guitarist and hopefully some day you will hear about me! Good site .......go on this way!
